Multi-Sensor Sniper Detection & Localization System
Acoustic Detection · EO/IR Verification · 360° Localization · Laser Rangefinding

Product usage
The acoustic-optical sniper detection system consists of an acoustic detection subsystem, an electro-optical detection system, a display and control terminal, and related communication components. Depending on mission requirements, it can be deployed in fixed-site, vehicle-mounted, or man-portable configurations.
Before operation, the equipment should be installed and connected properly, with the power supply, communications, acoustic sensors, EO devices, and control terminal checked. After power-up, the system performs a self-test and enters monitoring mode once all modules are confirmed to be operating normally.
During operation, the acoustic detection subsystem rapidly detects and localizes suspicious firing directions based on gunshot signatures and transmits the target bearing to the EO system. The EO equipment then automatically turns toward the target area and performs secondary search, image verification, and distance measurement using visible-light, infrared, and laser “cat-eye” detection methods, improving target confirmation and localization in complex environments.
The system supports 360° omnidirectional detection, independent or coordinated operation of acoustic and EO devices, alarm display, event recording, data storage, fault self-diagnosis, and modular expansion. In vehicle-mounted operation, it can continue monitoring while the vehicle is moving or stationary; in fixed deployment, it can provide long-term perimeter surveillance and security monitoring for key areas.
During use, operators should continuously monitor system alarms and equipment status. If communication loss, sensor abnormalities, or system faults occur, the relevant operation should be stopped for inspection. After the mission, necessary records should be saved, the system shut down according to procedure, and sensors, optical windows, communication interfaces, and mounting structures inspected and maintained regularly.
Application scenarios
The acoustic-optical sniper detection system is designed for security protection of critical areas, VIP protection, military and law-enforcement operations, vehicle-mounted mobile protection, fixed-post surveillance, and portable early warning. It can be deployed around residences, strategic sites, large gatherings, and event venues to continuously monitor potential sniper threats. Acoustic sensors rapidly detect and locate suspected gunfire, while linked EO sensors perform secondary search, image verification, infrared observation, and ranging for rapid target detection, localization, and continuous tracking. The system also supports 360° detection, vehicle-mounted monitoring, and multi-sensor networking for all-weather security and remote early warning.
